‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Dayna Kathan comes out as a “late in life” lesbian

‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Dayna Kathan has come out as a lesbian to celebrate Pride month.
Taking to Instagram on 8 June, Kathan shared a carousel of joyful photos of herself with a handful of friends as they enjoyed Pride festivities. The former ‘Vanderpump’ cast member even wore a vest top with the word ‘GAY’ emblazoned across her chest.
“Shout out to my fellow late in life lesbians! HAPPY PRIDE!!!” she wrote in the caption, followed by heart emojis in the lesbian flag colours.
A number of famous friends expressed their love in the comments, including Kathan’s ‘Vanderpump’ castmates Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney, and JoJo Siwa’s ex, Kath Ebbs.
Kathan made her ‘Vanderpump Rules’ debut on season 8 of the show in 2020. She only joined the show for a short stint, but she quickly endeared herself to fans and became a mainstay in the reality TV universe.
She now hosts a biweekly podcast, ‘Disrespectfully’, with Katie Maloney, who has previously spoken about her own attraction to women and sexual fluidity.
Kathan had previously publicly identified as bisexual after coming out in 2019. She and regular cast member Ariana Madix bonded on the show over being “bi sisters” during an episode that focused on LA Pride.
Vanderpump reboot
In January this year, current ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Venus Binkley said that he felt “proud” to be the only out gay cast member.
Amid the reboot of the reality TV show with its 12th season, viewers and former cast members accused the all-new cast of being influencers, rather than actual staff of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR.
Newbies to the cast include Venus Binkley, Jason Cohen, Shayne Davis, Chris Hahn, Angelica Jensen, Marcus Johnson, Audrey Lingle, Natalie Maguire, Demy Selem, and Kim Suarez.
In his bio, Binkley described himself as the “glue that holds the SUR staff together and the confidant everyone turns to for advice … and the latest gossip”.
