Tamzin Outhwaite paid tribute to her son Flo

Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has shared a touching tribute to her trans son Flo as he turns 18.

The star shared a carousel in honour of her eldest child, full of cute family photos and snaps of Flo taking steps in his acting career.

Tamzin wrote in the caption: “Happy 18th birthday to my incredibly first born @floellisouthwaite who deserves all the goodness this world has to offer, and all the joy coming to him!

“I could not be more proud of you. You inspire, surprise and astound me daily. Your kindness, heart, dedication, determination, resilience, humour, courage, talent, work ethic, passion, grace, positivity… (I could go on) are a joy to behold!

“What you have already achieved in these first 18 years is AMAZING. I love you SO MUCH.”

She finished: “Here’s to YOU my darling. May adulthood bring you peace, happiness and the success you so deserve.”

In the comments section, Flo wrote: “Love you mother,” adding a red heart emoji.

Who is Flo Ellis Outhwaite?

Flo is the son of Tamzin Outhwaite and her ex, actor Tom Ellis.

Tamzin largely keeps her kids out of the public eye, but spoke of Flo’s transition last year on the Parenting Hell podcast.

She said: “I’ve got two kids, and I did have two daughters and now I have a son and a daughter, and that’s quite easy for me to say now, but it wasn’t maybe six or seven years ago.

“To see him thriving is just nothing but relief and joy for me, really, because there were some dark times.”

She went on to say that Flo being trans is “not the most interesting thing about him”.

Tamzin gushed: “He’s an incredibly funny intelligent boy, and I’m watching him grow into a wonderful human who’s very talented.

“To see him thriving is just nothing but relief and joy for me really because there were some dark times.”

In recent years, Flo has taken a step into the acting world, like his parents.
