Kesha has reminded fans that she wants them to send her their teeth. Yes, you read that right.
The singer posted an address for a PO Box on X on 29 July, alongside the message: “ICYMI: I want your teeth.”
Fans couldn’t quite believe it, with one replying: “I hope you’re boiling them first.” Another joked: “Guess you weren’t kidding about that line in ‘Cannibal’. Dessert is served?”
As it turns out, Kesha collects teeth so she can make jewellery out of them.
The omnisexual star said in a recent appearance on Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang’s podcast Las Culturistas: “Do you know that I collect teeth?” She went on: “Send them over!”
The ‘We R Who We R’ songstress explained: “Well, the teeth started when I became obsessed with my fans. And then someone was like, ‘My child lost their teeth’ and I was like, ‘Can I have them?’ because I want to make jewellery out of it.
“And so then I made a necklace and an earring and then a belt and then a crown. Oh, the crown’s wild.”
She confessed she started her collection as it “freaks out straight men”.
“I just started putting [them] all over my home in little jars,” she went on.
Kesha, Yang and Rogers spoke of what parents do with their kids’ teeth when they give them to the tooth fairy.
She suggested they should “give them to” her, rather than the tooth fairy.
“Can I actually have them?” she went on. “It’s not a drill and it’s not a joke. I’m a pop star and I need your teeth.”
The star previously told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper that she keeps the teeth of her loved ones and pets, as it “reminds me when I have a little piece of the people I love”.
But it’s not just teeth, as she also kept a piece of her own placenta and wears it as a necklace as it “supposedly gives you second sight, helps open your third eye”.
