Adults’ Jack Innanen says he’ll ‘show hole’ as apology to Heated Rivalry fans

Adults star Jack Innanen has addressed his almost-casting in Heated Rivalry, saying he’ll “show hole” as an apology to fans who were hoping to see him in season two.
In April, Canadian actor Innanen confirmed he’d been in talks to join the gay hockey drama, and fans thought he’d be perfect to play misunderstood player Troy Barrett.
By June, it was revealed that while he was offered an undisclosed role, he’d had to turn it down due to scheduling issues. While it’s not known which role Innanen was in talks for, the role of Troy was eventually given to Charlie Gillespie.
Now, speaking with Entertainment Tonight while promoting the second season of Adults, he was asked to address the disappointment for “failing to deliver on a Heated Rivalry season two appearance”.
Innanen said: “My message is, it is unfortunate. I hope that they have the most fun filming, I saw they just started filming. I love Heated Rivalry, I love a Canadian production. I hope they have the most fun. It didn’t work out, but Godspeed.”
His co-star Amita Rao suggested he could apologise by “posting a couple of shirtless pictures”.
Innanen energetically agreed, but took it one step further. He said: “Yeah, I’ll be showing hole. I’ve been working on my glutes, so that’s my apology. I knew it was going there. That’s actually my message: I’m working on my glutes.”
Fans were quick to react, with one joking: “Sometimes a hole pic is all you need to forgive someone.” Another asked: “Sir can we get those pictures now or?”
Meanwhile, others were still clearly disappointed that he wouldn’t be joining Heated Rivalry. “Still Troy in my heart though,” one said, as another added: “Forever my Troy.”
Some hoped he may have a small cameo role that hadn’t been announced. One said: “I still believe he’s gonna pop in as a surprise.” A second commented: “Please give him a walk on. We deserve it.”
