Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber dies in rehab aged 27

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s model son Presley Gerber has died at the age of 27.
Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records list his date of death as Sunday, 20 September 2026, at a rehabilitation facility.
A family representative said, as per CBS News: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Gerber had spoken openly in recent years about mental health, depression and substance use, including through “Mental Health Mondays” content on Instagram and in a 2023 podcast appearance.
In the Studio 22 podcast episode, he said: “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
He also described mental health as ongoing work, saying: “It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it.”
A cause of death had reportedly not been disclosed at the time of publication, with an autopsy said to be pending.
Presley Gerber’s mental health struggles
Gerber’s sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber, discussed what was described as his “decade-long struggle with drug addiction” in a Vogue interview.
She said: “When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” adding: “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’”
Presley was arrested for a DUI in Beverly Hills in 2019 and later sentenced to three years’ probation, with some reports also noting two days’ community service, as detailed in a sentencing summary.
Modelling career
Gerber was signed by IMG Models at 15 and went on to work runway shows and campaigns including Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein.
He rose to prominence in the mid-2010s amid renewed interest in “supermodel” dynasties and celebrity fashion families. He is survived by his parents and sister.
