Mean Girls legend Daniel Franzese has shared the results of his three-year weight loss journey, which has seen him drop 135lbs.
The actor, 48, is best known for playing Damian in 2004 classic Mean Girls. He came out as gay in 2014 – in fact, all of Mean Girls‘ leading men have come out as gay.
On Threads, he responded to a message that said: “Show your weight loss transformations. Let’s motivate and inspire someone today.”
He shared side-by-side images which showed his progress, writing: “Three years. Down 135lbs. No booze, no sugar, workout four times a week (or more) now counting macros.”
Fans were quick to respond, with one replying: “Danny you are doing amazing! Congrats on doing so well! Proud of you my friend.”
Another said: “Handsome [as f***] both ways but I’m so glad you’re feeling yourself and this epic transformation!”
Someone else said: “Proud of you! You’ve always been amazing and gorge but so happy you’re feeling happier and better! It’s a hard journey!”
While a fourth added: “Both bodies are beautiful but you’ve made so much progress congrats.”

In 2019, Franzese called for more representation for sexy plus size men on screens, lamenting to TMZ: “Gay bigger people are invisible.”
Then, in 2022, Franzese, who recently appeared in RuPaul movie Stop! That! Train!, spoke out about Brendan Fraser’s casting in The Whale. Fraser was given the role of an 600lb gay man, with the actor wearing a fat suit for the role.
Franzese told People that actors like him and others would “jump at” the chance to appear in films like The Whale, for which Fraser won an Oscar.
He said: “To finally have a chance to be in a prestige film that might be award-nominated, where stories about people who look like us are being told? That’s the dream.
“So when they go time and time again and cast someone like Brendan Fraser, me and the other big queer guys, we’re like, ‘What the…?’ We can’t take it!”
He did add that he was “very conflicted” though, as he “loves Brendan Fraser”.
Franzese has previously opened up about his own weight loss journey, telling TMZ he was doing so because of a health scare.
At that point, he had lost 120lbs and had tried weight loss drugs, but decided they weren’t for him.
