Teenager sues school for not preventing homophobia
A gay teenager is seeking compensation from his school in Oklahoma after claiming he was assaulted by another student because he was not given enough protection.
Michale Bullis, 18, says he was injured last November in the Grove High School cafeteria after being attacked because he was gay.
He claims he was subjected to “systematic harassment and bullying” which forced him to move schools. Mr Bullis is seeking over $10,000 in damages.
The school declined to comment.
