See Rufus Wainwright’s Judy tribute live in London
Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright’s London appearances at the London Palladium next month sold out within hours last November.
Now AIDS charity Crusaid are offering the last available tickets in an extraordinary package, including the best seats in the house, Marc Jacobs t-shirts and limited edition signed Rufus Wainwright posters. The exclusive £175 tickets also include access to the exclusive after show party, at the Cinderella Bar.
The Sunday night concerts, on the 18th and 25th of February, are billed as Wainwright’s tribute of the Judy Garland legendary Carnegie Hall concert.
“I am proud to support Crusaid; they have a wonderful track record supporting marginalised communities affected by HIV and AIDS,” commented Rufus Wainwright.
“They have 20 years of experience at the forefront of fundraising and work with projects that enable people affected by HIV and AIDS to live in dignity and have a decent quality of life.”
Featuring the full, original score, directed by Stephen Oremus, who conducted the Broadway musicals Wicked and Avenue Q, the performance is a dream come true for the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter.
“Crusaid is delighted to have the support of such a renowned artist as Rufus Wainwright,” says Crusaid Chief Executive Robin Brady.
“Crusaid has worked with a number of artists over the years, and it is an honour that Rufus has chosen to support Crusaid in this way.”
Rufus Wainwright is currently in the studio recording material for his eagerly awaited new album, expected in Spring 2007.
