US: Police officer under investigation for writing about ‘faggots’ and ‘fudgepackers’ on Facebook
A police officer in the US state of Arkansas was investigated after posting “fudgepackers” and “faggots” comments on Facebook about sports team fans.
The Arkansas Times has reported that an officer at the Little Rock Police Department had made the remarks whilst commenting on an American football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Greenbay Packers.
The officer wrote: “What a come back!”, followed by saying she had to listen to “faggots” cheer for the “fudgepackers”.
According to the Times, which declined to name the officer, public information officer Lietenant Sidney Allen had confirmed an investigation was taking place.
“The Little Rock Police Department was made aware of this post earlier this week. An internal investigation was started at that time,” Allen said in a statement. “As with all investigations we will not comment until the investigation has been concluded.”
