Daniel Craig on whether James Bond might be gay: ‘Anything is possible’

James Bond star Daniel Craig has said ā€œanything is possibleā€ when asked whether the iconic character can be gay.

Asked by Sky News whether Bond could be black, a woman or gay, Craig responded saying any are possible. mens_fitness_18988

He said: ā€œAnythingā€™s possible. You can do anything as long as itā€™s credible and it works. It doesnā€™t matter.ā€

Pierce Brosnan, who played the iconic spy from 1995ā€™s GoldenEye to 2002ā€™s Die Another Day, recently caused a storm when asked that Bond could be portrayed as gay or bisexual.

He initially said: ā€œSure. Why not?ā€, before adding: ā€œI donā€™t think [the producer] would allow a gay Bond to happen.ā€

The director of Daniel Craigā€™s 2008 Bond film, Quantum of Solace, has also weighed in.

Marc Forster, who helmed the critically-panned instalment in the franchise, told BANG Showbiz that the films must remain faithful to the original Ian Fleming novels.
