Cher really doesn’t want Trump for President – and she’s not afraid to say it
Cher never pulls punches on issues she thinks are important – and Donald Trump is no exception.
The Believe singer, 69, questioned whether Trump is serious in his bid to become US President.
Speaking to Billboard.com she said: “I don’t like anything about Donald Trump. It’s a joke at a time when you really need serious people.
“I don’t think he wants the job, or I don’t think he actually wants to do the work. I think he wants the job because it’s the ultimate deal, and he’s the ultimate ego. I don’t know that I’ve heard or seen anybody like him, and I also never thought that Americans would go for someone like him, a person of his quality.”
Cher last year threatened to leave Earth if Trump becomes President.
Responding a fan who plans to move to Australia if Trump is elected, she retorted: “IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED,IM MOVING TO JUPITER”.
Cher is a strong proponent of equality – hitting out at the Governor of Arkansas for allowing an anti-gay bill to pass into law.
She last year reflected on 50 years of being on top… of the Billboard charts.
The legendary gay icon celebrated half a century in the music industry – marking by her debut appearances on the Billboard Charts in 1965 with ‘All I Really Want to Do’ and Sonny and Cher duet ‘I Got You Babe’.
She has gone from strength to strength ever since – from the heights of Believe through to latter-day hit Woman’s World.
Trump this week had the highest honour possible in his US Presidential campaign – an endorsement from Sarah Palin.
