No, it’s not Helen Mirren…
…it’s Sir Patrick Stewart!
The actor, who appears as a cable journalist in the US sitcom Blunt Talk, dragged up for an event thrown by cable network Starz last night promoting the show.
The legendary thespian, knight and veteran campaigner glammed up in a silk purple dress complete with jewellery for the press launch – donning a long wig and false eyelashes, while clutching a sparkly silver purse.
He tweeted: “”Something is happening in Hollywood tonight.”
However, many fans noted a rather strong comparison to actress Helen Mirren in his look.

The actor is famously comfortable exploring his sexuality and gender.
The X-Men actor, who is straight and married to wife Sunny Ozell, stole the show at a film première last year when he locked lips with his on-screen colleague Sir Ian McKellen.
He said: “I knew what I was doing! It took Sir Ian by surprise a little bit.”
“We are very good friends, and quite intimate friends. It seemed appropriate! That is how we greet eachother or say goodbye.”
“But Ian isn’t the only one. I don’t want you to think I am a one-man guy!”
He adds that he would like to kiss Sir Sean Connery with “maybe a bit of tongue”.
