Thousands of protesters flood the streets around Trump buildings across the US on election day (VIDEO)
Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets across the US after Donald Trump was elected as US President.
The rallies took place at Trump buildings and other locations in New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Seattle and Boston.
The NYC protest was organised by the New York chapter of Socialist Alternative and marched from Union Square to Trump Tower.
Speaking to PinkNews, organiser Daniel Kroop said: “Socialist Alternative is organising tonight’s protest to unite and fight against Donald Trump’s bigoted agenda. LGBTQ people should be on the front lines of this battle because we have so much at stake.
“Everyone needs to stand together to defend each other. Trump and his right-wing sidekick Mike Pence are stained with sexism, racism, Islamophobia, homophobia and ableism. LGBTQ people need to help build a united mass movement to stop Trump’s agenda.”
Lady Gaga also staged her own protest from a lorry outside Trump Tower earlier in the day, and held a sign reading “Love trumps hate”.
Protesters across the US chanted “Pussy grabs back”, and “fuck your wall”.
