Selena Gomez lusts after female schoolteacher in new music video for Bad Liar

Selena Gomez lusts after a female schoolteacher in her new music video.
The 24-year-old superstar plays four parts in the video for Bad Liar – and one of them, a student, is clearly attracted to her gym teacher – also played by Gomez.
Throughout the 1970s-themed video, she smiles at and pines after the teacher, who it seems is having an affair with Gomez’s married father, also played by the singer.
“Just like the battle of Troy, there’s nothing subtle here,” she sings despairingly about her infatuation with her teacher.
After coming home and turning away from her mother, who – you got it – is also played by Gomez, she goes upstairs to think about her lesbian crush.
“With my feelings on fire, guess I’m a bad liar,” she sings as the cat is fully let out the bag.
With the video reaching a climax, she smilingly strokes a polaroid picture of her gym teacher laughing.
Earlier this month, Gomez opened up about her mum surprising her with “the most beautiful drag queen singing my favourite song” at her 16th birthday party.
“I don’t think most 16 year olds can say that!” she added.
In the letter for Billboard, the Good For You singer described how she grew up around LGBT people, crediting her mum “for raising me in an environment that was incredibly open-minded and non-judgmental.”
And she also credited songwriting partner Justin Tranter with opening her eyes to the LGBTQ rights movement, after she watched Madonna documentary Truth or Dare.
