During her lifetime, Carrie Fisher was known to be a great friend, fierce LGBT ally and outspoken hero who wasn’t afraid to take on the Hollywood machine.

And that was confirmed this week by her friend Heather Robinson, who opened up about her experience of sexual assault at the hands of a Hollywood producer in 2000.

A number of women and men have spoken out about the culture of sexual harassment in Hollywood, after serious allegations were made by several actors and models against Harvey Weinstein.

Robinson, a screenwriter who also goes by the name Heather Ross, spoke to 94.9’s Morning Mix in Tuscon, Arizona about what happened – and you can listen to the interview in full below.

She had agreed to meet a Hollywood producer who has won an Oscar, but not Harvey Weinstein, for lunch.

When they were in the car together he attempted to force himself on her, and she fought him off.

“He said, ‘You’ll never make a movie in my town, and get the F out of my car.’” Robinson said.

“It happened so quickly, I felt ashamed. I felt like I had done something.”

When she told her friend Carrie Fisher what happened, she stepped up.
