Drag Race star Derrick Barry issues grovelling apology after rudely throwing shade at All Stars 5 cast
Drag Race star Derrick Barry has apologised after claiming she felt “uninspired” by the All Stars 5 cast.
The outspoken season eight queen – currently starring in Drag Race: Vegas Revue – threw shade at her All Stars castmates in a recent interview.
“I think Jujubee said it best – half the cast were ‘some stars’,” she said.
“I really felt that I didn’t belong with half of that cast.”
Referring to the line-up of Vegas Revue, Derrick added: “This cast inspires me, where the All Stars 5 cast, I was looking around and thought, ‘Why am I here?’
“I love Shea, I love Jujubee… and so, I would’ve loved to be top three with Shea and Jujubee if it had gone a different route.”

Derrick – who was first out in All Stars 5 – came under heavy criticism for her comments, including from Mayhem Miller.
“Every single one of your cast mates on AS5 is a f**king star… including people you may not care for,” Mayhem tweeted.
“Sad you would say something like this. It only fuels the bad behaviour the toxic fans perpetuates. Be an example girl. Congrats on Vegas once again.
After days of backlash, Derrick issued an apology.
Responding to a fan who called her original comments “disappointing”, she wrote: “You are absolutely correct.
“I want to apologise to the ENTIRE cast.
“I was defensive and bitter in shading and hurting half of the cast.
“We are ALL STARS and we were all asked back for a reason to show growth. I hope they can truly accept my apology.”

Alexis Matteo added a simple “love you”.
