Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s WAP video gets a sickening all-queer remake and we need a clean-up on aisle LGBT+

Gay men dancing to WAP

When Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion finally teamed for “WAP”, it was hard to imagine anything could come close to it. Enter: The gays.

Created by Los Angeles dancer Nicole Kirkland and beauty influencer Mac Daddyy, the all-gay”WAP” video involves a lot more lace, leather harnesses and, well, six-packs.

The clip premiered Wednesday (August 26) and has already tallied more than 230,000 views. It sees Kirkland, as well as dozens of dancers, glide into the splits and sashay their hips all the while sporting pouty faces, all in a glorious and glamorous tribute to Megan and Cardi B’s instantly-iconic music video.

“We did this one for the culture!” Kirkland wrote in the video’s description on YouTube.

“There are so many layers to gay men… it is not a one glove fits all!

“Angel [Merino, aka Mac Daddyy] and I wanted to represent the beautiful diversity found within the LGBTQ+ community! The rugged, the femininity and everything in-between.

“This video was so much fun to film! All the boys killed it and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out!”

Kirkland herself features in the video, joined by a roster of incredible talent: Bottom Behavior, Mac Daddyy, Howard Johnson, Darius Hickman, Joseph Alexander Pina, Yai Ariza, Alekz Samone, Julio Jimenez, Keegan Hill, Bobby Newberry, Anthony Garza and Kirkland’s girlfriend, Aryan Davenport.

Kirkland has also done sufficiently gay recreations of Doja Cat’s “Juicy” and the Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons”.

The video is below, but be warned: bring a bucket and a mop.

The gay “WAP” video went instantly viral, winning praise for its fierce choreography, killer looks and incredible diversity.

It’s also safe to say the dancers involved accrued a lot of aggressively thirsty fans from taking part in the video.
