Marvel’s first Disney+ series, WandaVision is premiering across the globe from today.

The highly-anticipated series which takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame will be available to stream from Friday (15 January), with a new episode available weekly.

It will see Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff and Vision from the films, for phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). You can watch the trailer here.

The miniseries follows Wanda and Vision who are living the ideal suburban life in the town of Westview, trying to conceal their powers. As they begin to enter new decades and encounter television tropes, the couple suspects that things are not as they seem.

Also appearing in the series is Teyonah Parris as the daughter of Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau from Captain Marvel, Kathryn Hahn as nosey neighbour Agnes, Kat Dennings who reprises her role as Darcy Lewis from Thor, and Randall Park who reprises his role as Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp.

It marks the first phase in the franchise to include a television series and will be followed up by a number of other Disney+ exclusives. This includes Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld and a series based on Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, which will reportedly see the character have both male and female love interests.

Meanwhile theatrical releases expected to premiere in cinemas this year include Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals. But due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has forced cinemas to close, they may get a Disney+ release at an extra fee, similar to the live-action version of Mulan in September last year.

Fans of the MCU can also watch all the films from the studio’s back catalogue on the streaming platform, including The Avengers, Captain America, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Plus it’s also home to the X-Men series, Fantastic Four, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s legacy animations like Spider-Man and Spider-Woman.

The first two episodes of WandaVision will be released on 15 January via Disney+. An episode will be released weekly on the streaming platform until 5 March.

You can sign up to Disney+ with a free seven-day trial and then pay £5.99 per month or a discounted £59.99 for a whole year. To sign up go to www.disneyplus.com.
