How to access Amazon’s Black Friday deals early

Every year during Black Friday and Prime Day, the retailer launches “lightning deals”, which are only available for a short space of time.

If you’re a Prime member then you can access these deals before anyone else, making sure you bag a deal early.

They’re then made available to other customers, but often these products sell out or there’s limited numbers left once they’re released to non-Prime members.

The membership costs £7.99 per month or £79.99 per year and comes with a free 30-day trial.

So you can sign up here and make the most of the benefits including next-day free delivery, film and TV streaming and more.

Once your free trial period is up you can cancel it and you won’t pay a penny, or carry on your Prime membership.

What are lightning deals?

You can expect the Black Friday lightning deals to kick off on the week of Black Friday, so around the 22 November.

The lightning deals are offers that could be available from one to 24 hours, but once they’re sold out, they’re gone.

You’ll find them on Amazon’s deal page here, which is now live with deals and will be updated during the Black Friday sale period.

They will have a countdown timer as well as info on how many have been “claimed”.

You can see which products are “upcoming” on the deals page, including the exact time they’ll be released to Prime members.

Plus you can add products to your watchlist to keep an eye on it throughout the day and secure them.

The lightning deal products range from tech to homeware to toys so there’s plenty of different deals to bag.

Which Amazon devices will be on offer for Black Friday?

You can expect the majority of Amazon’s devices to be on offer this Black Friday.

This includes the Echo Dot, the Alexa smart speaker, Fire TV Stick, Echo Show, Echo Buds and Ring Video Doorbell.

Last year the Echo Dot sold out during Black Friday due to huge demand and wasn’t back in stock until the following January. So if you’re after a smart speaker this year make sure you get yours early.

The retailer has already launched some offers on its devices, which included an Echo Dot and Ring Video Doorbell bundle deal, for £44 instead of £88.99.
