The Sims 4 screams ‘gay rights’ with new wedding game pack trailer – and fans are loving it
The Sims 4 has revealed a new wedding extension pack with a trailer showcasing queer joy.
The trailer for the My Wedding Stories game pack follows the story of two female friends who fall in love.
One of them jilts her groom at the altar because they’re not compatible – but it doesn’t end badly – as he goes on to walk his former fiancée down the aisle.
We then see the women’s relationship develop as they go on a honeymoon and return to their wedding venue as elders, all of which can be recreated with the new extension pack.
This is sound tracked to the classic wedding song “At Last” by Etta James, but a Simlish version, of course.
The My Wedding Stories game pack is due to be released on 17 February on a number of platforms and will be available from Amazon here.

The official Sims YouTube channel revealed the LGBT-themed trailer for the My Wedding Stories game pack and fans are loving it.
The comments on the trailer include: “I literally just CRIED watching this lmao this trailer is so well done”.
Others said they were “so focused on the plot I forgot we were getting a new pack” and that the “whole trailer was so well put together”.
A number of gamers are also excited about one specific element to the extension pack, and that’s slow dancing.
Yes, the trailer shows the Sims slow dancing at the wedding and fans of the game say it’s “the thing I can’t wait for the most”.
The inclusive extension pack will allow gamers to craft a detailed love story for their Sims, with engagement dinners, touring venues and cake tasting activities ahead of the main event.
EA says: “We’ve partnered with community creators from different backgrounds to create lots that represent our community”.
It will feature “a look for everyone” with weddings that are “traditional to modern” and outfits that range “from flowy white gowns to the reds and henna typically worn by Hindu brides”.
My Wedding Stories will be available from 17 February on Origin PC/Mac, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PS4 and PS5.
