Converse has unveiled its Pride Month 2022 collection which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community.

The collection features classic silhouettes including Chuck Taylor All Star, Chuck 70 and One Star sneakers alongside apparel and headwear.

There’s two parts to this year’s Pride range, with Converse By You, which lets fans create their own personalised “All Star” patch, license plate and laces.

You can create your own sneaker designs using the pride, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, non-binary and transgender flags.

The second part of the collection features apparel and one-off sneaker designs inspired by and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.

The collection is now available to shop at converse.com/uk and converse.com.

All of the pieces have been united by a graphic that represents the diversity of the community and the mantra, “Family, Unity”.

Converse says it’s to remind us “that while we are each different, we can always come together with love”.

The collection features a patchwork design, modelled off a gradient rainbow bandana print that evokes “warmth, home and belonging” and rainbow graphics and fluid lines to “celebrate ever-evolving identities”.

The Converse By You collection – which lets you design your own sneakers – is now available, while the inline collection will be available in June.

To celebrate its seventh annual Pride campaign, Converse is highlighting the story of the Found Family.

They say it’s “the people met on the journey to Pride who surround us with love, support, and acceptance that exist at the many intersections of the vibrant, dynamic, and multifaceted LGBTQ+ community”.

It sees more than 50 creatives from the brand’s LGBTQ+ community around the world contribute their creativity and stories to this year’s Pride campaign.

Their stories have been told through photographs, written letters and art which have been curated into a digital gallery and will be shared on social media.
