Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn has admitted she knows she has a huge ‘lesbian army’ behind her and – of course – the sapphics were pretty thrilled with that.

Hahn, 51, played lead Agatha Harkness in the smash-hit 2024 Marvel series which put queer women front and centre and delivered the first lesbian kiss in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Agatha kissed her ex-lover Death/Rio (Aubrey Plaza).

Alongside Hahn, Agatha All Along featured Billy ‘Teen’ Maximoff (Joe Locke), Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp), Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata), Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn), Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza), and Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone).

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live last week (1 April) alongside actors Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, Hahn was asked by host Andy Cohen if she knows about her popularity with queer women following a question from a viewer.

“Just want to make sure Kathryn knows that she has a whole fandom of lesbians ready to watch whatever she’s acting in, ready to defend her, and believe she was robbed for many award nominations,” Cohen said, quoting the viewer before asking his own question.

“Do you realise you have a lesbian army ready to fight on your behalf?

Clearly loving the notion of having an army of lesbians ready to defend her till the end, Hahn responded: “I feel like the Joan of Arc. Yes, I do and I appreciate and love. I love an army behind me.”

WWHL network Bravo shared the clip to Instagram and it might be unsurprising that the lesbian army in question were thrilled that mother Hahn knows and loves them.

“It’s true. We are on standby,” one fan commented whilst others said they are “ready to fight” for her.

“it’s SO refreshing to see an actress smile so brightly and acknowledge us like that 😭💜 this woman is a gem,” one fan commented.

“Your ARMY is always behind you 😭😭🖤,” another said.

“It’s True!!!! I would do anything she needed ❤️🔥,” a third wrote.

record-breaking series, Agatha All Along fans would love to see the show return for a second season – despite it originally being marketed as a limited series – but so far Disney and Marvel have been pretty mum on the topic.

After the show concluded Patti LuPone dashed hopes when she told Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show that Agatha All Along creator Jac Schaeffer apparently said that she doesn’t “do second seasons” because “there too much to write”.

Fast forward to February though and Marvel’s head of streaming, television, and animation – Brad Winderbaum – gave fans a little glimmer of hope during an Entertainment Weekly interview, saying it has “linear series potential”.

“A show like Agatha, to me, is concept-based. Yes, a second season for sure is something that we would want to do, but let’s not rush it. Let’s get the right idea and then make it,” Winderbaum said.

Season one of Agatha All Along is available to stream on Disney+ now.
