Nicholas Galitzine has confirmed that the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe movie has wrapped – and shared a buff, semi-naked snap of himself as He-Man

Based on the iconic Masters of the Universe franchise, and responsible for the gay awakening of thousands of gays, He-Man is set to take his sword to the big screen in an upcoming live-action film – with Red, White & Royal Blue star Nicholas Galitzine as protagonist Prince Adam and his mercifully scantily-clad alter ego, He-Man.

Galitzine, who has also appeared in horny historical series Mary & George alongside Julianne Moore, and queer coming-of-age flick Handsome Devil, was announced for the role in 2024. He has now confirmed that the projected has finished shooting, along with our first full body shot of He-Man.

“Well, that’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe. It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He Man.

“It’s been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it. There’s not much I can show you, but I am so proud of the movie we’ve made. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew for all your hard work.”

While this isn’t technically the first look – Nicholas Galtizine shared a close-up of He-Man’s hands gripping his big, heavy Sword of Power in February – it’s the first ‘full-body’ shot of the iconic character, and features a glimpse at the iconic blonde bob, and the expected accompanying muscles.

And while He-Man himself isn’t gay, he does strut about in a leather harness and skirt while having intense sword fights with bad guys. Say less.

The untitled Masters of the Universe film is set to co-star Jared Leto as franchise antagonist Skeletor, as well as Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Idris Elba, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Sasheer Zamata, James Purefoy, and Charlotte Riley.

Masters of the Universe is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 5, 2026.
