Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp came out publicly in February 2025.

In June, Camp and her partner Jade Whipkey made their red carpet debut at the premier of Camp’s upcoming action/comedy Bride Hard, which also features fellow Pitch Perfect co-star Rebel Wilson

Their red carpet debut comes after the star, who appeared in the fifth and final season of You, recently told Pride that she felt “so welcomed and supported” since coming out.

Camp’s middle name is Ragsdale, which was her grandmother’s maiden name. One of her first screen roles was in the US version of The Office, where she played Pam’s sister Penny.

She was introduced to acting after being cast in a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) production in second grade. DARE is a well-known school-based drug-use-prevention programme in the US.

Camp finalised her divorce from her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin in August 2019. She is now in a relationship with stylist Whipkey.

She auditioned for the world-famous Juilliard School in New York but didn’t get in and says she’d be a dog breeder if she wasn’t an actor.

Camp used to suffer from cystic acne, which causes painful, pus-filled pimples.

She played Candace Dystra, a judge at sectionals, in Glee, has a hidden talent of rapping, with a rap name of Vodka Cran, and dreams of playing ageing Southern belle Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire on stage – as role made famous by Vivien Leigh.

The star is due to appear in Scream 7, and is a Libra, which, according to queer astrologist Deborah Roe, means she wants to know “all sides of a situation”.
