Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness has shared a sweet throwback snap with trans ally Pedro Pascal, and it’s everything.

The hair stylist and comedian participated in the latest social media trend, which sees users posting throwback pictures of themselves from 2016.

Ness shared several photos dating back a decade with his followers, from a period prior to his work on Queer Eye, when he was primarily working as a hair stylist, podcasting, and hosting the Gay of Thrones web series, a Game of Thrones recap.

Captioned, “2016 me could never believe 2026 me,” the first photo showed Ness and Pedro Pascal looking adorable together.

In the image, Pascal, then 40, has his hand on Ness’ shoulder as they both give a cheeky smile to the camera. Text over the photo reads: “I heard 2016 was trending”.

Pascal began to gain attention in 2016, owing to his roles on Game of Thrones and Netflix’s Narcos.

Further images posted by Ness show him working on Margaret Cho’s hair for a Fashion Police appearance, working on Drag Race star Trixie Mattel’s wig and him attending his first red carpet Emmys appearance.

The tenth season of Queer Eye, in which Ness remains the grooming expert, will be released on 21 January.

According to Netflix, the tenth series will see the Fab Five touch down in Washington, D.C. The show, which has earned 37 Emmy nominations and 11 wins, will also honour the show’s legacy “as the longest-running unscripted Netflix series”.
