Season 13 of American Horror Story (AHS) will return later this year – and the witches are back! Trans model Alex Consani is the latest addition to the cast.
Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology, with all its glamour and gore, has a devout following ahead of its forthcoming season.

What is the plot of season 13 of American Horror Story?
AHS season 13 is set to return to the Coven and Apocalypse storylines based on the cast reunions.
AHS: Coven was the third season of the show. The series was set in New Orleans in 2013, following a coven of witches descended from Salem.
Meanwhile, AHS: Apocalypse was the anthology’s eighth season. This iteration revisited the witches from the New Orleans coven as they battle the Antichrist.
After fan-favourite season Coven, AHS season 13 will once again reunite with these witches from Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.
The exact plot details of AHS season 13 are currently being kept under wraps.
Who is in the cast of season 13 of American Horror Story?
AHS season 13 not only boasts an impressively stacked cast, but also includes AHS veterans returning to their beloved characters.
Sarah Paulson will be reprising her role as Cordelia Goode. Murphy made the announcement on Instagram, sharing: “The Return of [Paulson] as Cordelia Goode. The Supreme Rises.
“And yes we have rebuilt the entire Robichaux Academy. Coming this September.”
Paulson will star alongside Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, who are both returning to their roles.
Furthermore, AHS regular Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman are set to star. All appeared in Coven or Apocalypse, so it’s likely they will be reprising their roles too.
In a surprise twist, Jessica Lange, who played Fiona Goode in Coven, is returning. This comes after the actor adamantly said she would not be returning to the show.
In early April, Murphy teased fans with an Instagram picture with a familiar silhouette of Lange. “American Horror Story, Season 13. Day One. The return of Jessica Lange!” the caption read.
Legendary filmmaker John Waters and singer Ariana Grande will also join the cast in undisclosed roles.
Finally, the latest newcomer is set to be Alex Consani. This will be Consani’s feature acting debut. Previously, she has starred in Charli XCX and Doja Cat’s music videos.
When will season 13 of American Horror Story be released?
Originally, AHS season 13 was set to premiere on Halloween, October 31.
However, Murphy adjusted expectations and recently announced that the season is expected to premiere in September 2026.
