Queer Love on the Spectrum couple split a year after meeting on Netflix show

'Love on the Spectrum' duo Pari and Tina

Love on the Spectrum stars Pari Kim and Tina Zhu Xi Caruso have confirmed their split, but are dedicated to remaining friends.

Kim appeared on the third season, which aired in 2025. She was hoping to find someone as mad about the local train network as she was.

The Netflix star and Caruso gelled well from their first date and continued their romance after the show for a year.

They made a cameo appearance in the fourth season at Madison Marilla and Tyler White’s engagement party, where they still appeared to be going strong.

However they have now both confirmed that they have split up, but will remain friends.

The duo shared their news on Instagram, with Kim writing a lovely train analogy, as you might expect from a big rail fan. In it, she said: “They are two different railroads on two separate lines but will always support each other when times call for it and cheer each other on from afar.”

Reacting to a post about their split on Instagram, she added: “We are still friends and want to both have T-riffic lives.”

Meanwhile, Caruso said: “It’s mutual. Pari and I have split up. We’re just friends now.” Sharing a photo of them dressed as Wicked‘s Glinda and Elphaba, she added: “We are like Glinda and Elphaba in the way we advocate for what we believe in … I hope we can still advocate as friends for things we believe in like public transportation and disability advocacy.”
