Luke Evans, Nicholas Hoult and more bring ‘leather daddy’ to Met Gala 2026

The Met Gala has come and gone for another year – and a big trend for 2026 was leather.
The likes of Luke Evans, Nicholas Hoult and Damson Idris all turned up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in differing leather looks.
The dress code for the evening was “Fashion is Art”, with guests taking inspiration from the museum’s “Costume Art” exhibition.
While many of the ladies turned up in variations of a “naked dress”, plenty of the men transformed into leather daddies – and we’re so here for it.

Gay actor Luke Evans paid homage to Tom of Finland in his Palomo Wool outfit.

His all-brown ensemble featured a studded leather jacket, matching flared trousers, gloves and a hat, and even a leather tie.
Nicholas Hoult
Skins icon Nicholas Hoult was dressed in Prada on the night, in a leather jacket and pants – also debuting a shaved head.
Bill Skarsgård
It star Bill Skarsgård wore a long leather jacket over his suit, having been dressed by Thom Browne.
Patrick Schwarzenegger
In a cropped leather jacket from Public School, White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger accessorised with gloves and a cane.
Rauw Alejandro
Puerto Rican singer/songwriter Rauw Alejandro went for a slightly different look, in patent leather from Saint Laurent.
Damson Idris
British actor Damson Idris wore Prada, with a long leather jacket over a red leather top.
Romeo Beckham
“Daddy” might be a stretch for 23-year-old Romeo Beckham, but the son of Victoria and David made his Met Gala debut in Burberry, with leather lapels.
Daniel Lee (and Cher!)
No surprise, considering Burberry dressed young Romeo Beckham, but the fashion house’s chief creative officer Daniel Lee also wore leather.
Lee also posed with Cher, also dressed in a custom Burberry leather look.
Zac Posen
Fashion designer Zac Posen, who walked the cream carpet with Kendall Jenner, wore a gold leather jacket, with shading which gave a muscular look.
Adrien Brody
Opting just for leather pants, Adrien Brody kept the rest of his look fairly basic with a blazer and open-collar shirt.
