Harry Styles faces backlash for tour imagery ahead of 9/11 anniversary

Harry Styles is facing backlash for artwork featured on his concert tickets, which appear to show a yellow car flying over the Empire State Building.
Styles is currently in the midst of a 30-night Madison Square Garden residency that wraps up on 31 October, and this Friday marks 25 years since 9/11.
Pictures of the tickets started circulating online, with users calling the imagery insensitive given the looming anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.
The controversy comes as New York City is preparing to mourn the almost 3,000 lives lost when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed after two commercial airlines flew into them on 11 September, 2001.
The collective 9/11 attacks are the deadliest terrorist attack in United States history.
Harry Styles on tour
Styles kicked off his Madison Square Garden residency on 26 August, and prior to that had shows in London, Mexico, Amsterdam and Sao Paulo.
He’ll head to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney after wrapping up his time in NYC – his only stop in the United States on his Together, Together Tour.
The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ singer emailed his fans Wednesday to share that he’ll be announcing 2027 dates for the tour on Thursday, 10 September.
In the email, he wrote: “When we decided to do the 2026 tour I knew it would be special but what you turned it into was far beyond what I could have imagined.”
“I love playing music, I love being with all of you and being a part of the love and joy you all create together every night,” he continued. “That’s why I wanted you to be the first to know we will be adding 2027 dates.”
The tour follows the release of his album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally which came out earlier this year.
