Logan Paul has shut down a Christian influencer for believing that being gay is a “choice”.
The YouTube star turned WWE wrestler was interviewing Christian influencer Bryce Crawford on his podcast Impaulsive, which is billed as “the world’s greatest, most thought-provoking, mentally stimulating podcast in the history of mankind… hosted by a bunch of idiots.”
When the conversation turned to the topic of sexuality, Paul said: “I’m a straight man… You guys, I have a wife, please believe me. I’m a straight man, as far as I know. And I don’t know why I am that way, other than I think I was born to be attracted to women.
“There are plenty of gay people on the planet who, I believe, were both in the same way but were attracted to those of the same sex.
“There’s just too many people who are attracted to the same sex to be like, oh, this is either, A, an anomaly, or B, they’re choosing this lifestyle.”
After Crawford claimed that being gay was a choice, Paul hit back: “If you think being gay’s a choice, why would a gay person choose a lifestyle that is probably much unnecessarily harder than being heterosexual, because of judgement and being shunned, mocked and made fun of?”
The internet personality, who was previously forced to apologise in 2019 after joking he would “go gay for a month”, also took issue with Crawford’s choice of words.
He told his guest: “Bro, even the verbiage is crazy. ‘Struggles with homosexuality’ is nuts. They’re not struggling, they’re just proudly gay!”
Paul was previously at the centre of controversy in 2024 when he admitted to “spreading misinformation” about Algerian Olympic gold medallist boxer Imane Khelif by calling the female athlete a “man”.
