Ross Kemp accuses Bella Ramsey of ‘killing’ him in explosive Celebrity Traitors episode

Ross Kemp wasted no time bringing chaos to The Celebrity Traitors, accusing Bella Ramsey of “killing” him in plain sight after she put a captain’s hat on his head.

The new season launched on BBC One on 1 October, introducing 21 celebrities to Claudia Winkleman’s game of deception. Straight after the first mission, Ramsey placed the hat on Kemp’s head and he immediately asked: “You didn’t just kill me did you?”

Kemp later explained why he was reading danger into every interaction, saying: “My guard is very much up.”

What did Ross Kemp say to Bella Ramsey?

Kemp’s suspicion played on a familiar Traitors idea, where killing in plain sight has been done via kisses, handing out drinks and other seemingly innocent gestures disguising “murder”.

Kemp told the group he was on edge about “people offering me a drink or talking to me in a slightly odd way”, adding that he was “feeling paranoid”.

Why did Ross Kemp also suspect Leigh-Anne Pinnock?

Kemp’s paranoia did not stop with Ramsey. Later in episode one, he also seemed convinced he had been “murdered in plain sight” again after Leigh-Anne Pinnock rubbed his arm in the bar area, a moment also recapped by the Sun.

Traitor’s executive producer Sarah Fay, speaking to Radio Times, said: “I think no one wants to go home first. I think Paloma showed that last year.”

Comedian Ed Gamble also praised Kemp’s spiralling suspicion, saying: “The paranoia! It is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on television.”

The series continues on BBC One and iPlayer at 8pm on Friday 2 October.
