Amol Rajan had sharp words for his Celebrity Traitors co-star Maya Jama, after her Traitorous actions saw him the first to be “murdered”.
Speaking after his early exit, Rajan reflected on his short time in the castle, and how well his co-stars have been doing.
Love Island host Jama and actor Richard E Grant were chosen to be Traitors by Claudia Winkleman. The duo then had to recruit another Traitor, with their other option being “murdered” instead.
After a nail-biting cliffhanger, it was revealed comedian James Acaster would be joining the Traitor roster, and Rajan got the chop.
Speaking to Radio Times, Rajan said of Jama: “Love her and hate her. A huge satanic, villainous power. She was able to inhabit the role of a traitor 100 per cent.”
He also described the emotional intensity of filming, saying: “I want to make clear here how astonishingly tense, and intense, and heightened, and extreme, the emotional turbulence of this experience was,” before adding that he “loved it”.
‘Most paranoid man I’ve met’
Rajan also branded Ross Kemp the “most paranoid man I’ve ever met” after his early actions on Celebrity Traitors.

He went on to say: “He has a hard-nut exterior that conceals a big sensitive softie.”
Former EastEnders hard-man Kemp was convinced he had been “murdered in plain sight” in the first week, after Bella Ramsey handed him a hat during a challenge, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock rubbed his arm.
And while those two incidents actually meant nothing, he is facing the Traitors’ wrath after he was picked as one of four who could be “murdered” during last week’s cliffhanger.
Rajan also suggested that “quiet” contestants such as Sharon Rooney and Pinnock could go the distance and might even win the show.
Of course, viewers will have to wait a few more days to see how things turn out for Pinnock, who was given a secret shield that will protect her from the Traitors if she is who they choose to get rid of.
Alongside Kemp and Pinnock, the other Faithfuls at risk are comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan.
Celebrity Traitors continues at 8pm on Thursday on BBC One.
