Big Brother’s Frankie comes out as bi to co-star as he shares journey
Frankie came out as bi to Yasmin on Big Brother (ITV)
Big Brother star Frankie Taber has come out to his co-star Yasmin, after previously revealing he was bisexual in the Diary Room.
In a preview clip of Tuesday’s episode on Monday’s Big Brother: The Group Chat, hosted by GK Barry and Kate Lawler, Frankie could be seen talking to Yasmin in the bathroom.
“You’re not gonna believe it when I tell you,” he said, before opening up.
He said: “I came on the show to come out. I’m bisexual.”
Frankie continued: “I feel like over the years, anger around it just built up so bad. I’ve got a girlfriend and whatnot, but that’s why I’ve also been so worried about her on here. She knew, obviously.
“I didn’t plan Big Brother, but I planned what I was gonna do, so she was very aware before I’m coming on it, what was going down. She knew, she’s prepared.”
Frankie has caused confusion among fans with talk of his girlfriend, as he told co-stars early in the series that he was single, but more recently has suggested he wasn’t.
He explained he “found out only a year-and-a-half ago”, with Yasmin asking how he realised.
‘I just looked at myself and thought, “there’s something wrong”‘
Frankie said: “Over the years, I always chased money, I always chased fame, to some degree. I always chased, like, just validation all the time and I was just trying to fill a voice.
“In the end, I just looked at myself and thought, ‘There’s something wrong.’
“So that’s why I’m here.”
Yasmin hugged him, as she said: “I love that you told me that.”
On The Group Chat, GK Barry and Lawler shared their concern that Yasmin, the biggest gossip in the house, might not keep Frankie’s secret, but said it would be “bad form” if she spread it.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
