Celebs show support for FIT at special performance
Well-known faces from the worlds of TV, politics and the theatre attended a special performance of a play about homophobia on Tuesday.
Gay equality organisation Stonewall organised the event.
FIT is a hip-hop musical that has toured schools nationwide and been seen by more than 10,000 pupils.
Stonewall hopes to raise enough money to distribute a DVD copy of FIT to every school in the country.
TV personality Gok Wan, actor Richard Wilson and Liberal Democrat frontbench spokesman Stephen Williams MP were all in attendance on Tuesday night and the response to the play was positive.
Sir Ian McKellen, as part of the Stonewall Education for All campaign, has visited several schools this year, talking to pupils and staff about homophobic bullying.
The veteran actor is to increase his school visits in 2009 in support of Education for All.
