Have you ever wanted a gay Las Vegas wedding? Now is your chance
Have you ever felt disappointed that you couldn’t go and have a shotgun wedding in Vegas? Well now you can.
Same-sex couples have begun to marry in Las Vegas, after a fraught 48 hours of legal limbo for couples hoping to tie the knot there.
On the back of a ruling earlier this week by the 9th Circuit Court which struck down same-sex marriage bans Idaho and Nevada, couples prepared to say their vows, but a temporary stay was issued by the US Supreme Court.
Hours later, it was clarified that the ruling did not apply to Nevada, and the 9th Circuit ruling was “in full effect”.
And because Vegas doesn’t have a waiting time for weddings, couples will be able to start to marry immediately.
