Homophobe silenced in ‘most Scottish way possible’ (VIDEO)
A boy in Scotland has used his musical talent to silence anti-gay ramblings.
A young bagpipe player is being heralded for taking down a hate-spewing preacher in the “most Scottish way possible”.
The video was uploaded by a man named Mike who was in Scotland with his partner when they noticed the preacher.
The homophobe was yelling into a microphone about how marriage equality has ruined the economy.
Then the youngster – seen wearing a blue T-shirt – approaches the man, playing the traditional tune Scotland the Brave on his pipes.
As he drowns the man out, a police van arrives to deal with the preacher, as the audience cheer and laugh.
The incident occurred on Market Street in St. Andrews – home the world renowned St Andrews University.
The video was posted to ‘Overheard in St. Andrews’ by Lachie Blair and uploaded to YouTube on Saturday (September 19).
In a recent interview with PinkNews, Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon promised to continue the fight for LGBT equality in Scotland.
“I’m proud of how far we’ve come, but we still see surveys like we did recently, saying that the majority of LGBT people still suffer discrimination and prejudice.
“We’ve still got to tackle that,” the Scottish First Minister said.
