Body found near church yard where Grindr killer dumped his victims

Just days after Grindr serial killer Stephen Port was found guilty, a man’s body has been found near the churchyard where his victims were abandoned.

Stephen Port, 41, was handed a whole-life sentence on Friday after being found guilty  for the murders of four men.

The former chef hunted young gay men on hook-up apps, before drugging them with GHB.

During his trial, the court heard how Port dumped three of his victims’ bodies were found in St Margaret’s churchyard in Barking, planted drug paraphernalia and fake suicide notes on some of his victims, to throw authorities off the scent.

Just days after Port was sentenced to spend life behind bars, another body has been recovered from the area near the church yard.

The Barking and Dagenham Post confirmed that another man was found dead on Tuesday morning near St Margaret’s Church.

Emergency services confirmed that the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the incident.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene and his death is being treated as unexplained.

No arrests have yet been made.
