Crazy Ex-Girlfriend takes a swipe at straight women in gay bars

TV show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend took a not-so-subtle swipe at straight women who go to gay bars.
The CW musical comedy show, which has a number of LGBT characters, took aim at the heterosexualisation of gay bars in this week’s episode.
The episode sees newly-single White Josh (David Hull) and Nathaniel (Scott Michael Foster) go to a gay bar to get over their respective break-ups.
When Nathaniel, who is straight, questions the choice of venue, Josh explains: “It’s a gay bar, which is great for me, but it’s also great for you, because bachelorette parties, girls’ nights out, girls who like to dance in a circle. I don’t know, they’re all here.
“It’s actually horrible. Straight girls are ruining the best part about being gay. Used to be the one place to belong to us, but whatever.
“Tonight, it works for both of us.”
As the pair attempt to console eachother at the bar, they encounter a rude hen party.
The bride-to-be says:Â “Excuse me. Can you guys be sad somewhere else? This is my girl Sherry.
“She’s wearing Spanx tonight ’cause we is out on the town, all right? And me, I’m getting a dranky-drank-drank-drank, so yeah, you guys are killing the vibe in here.”
