Amazon Prime adds 60 LGBT+ titles to selection

In a Heartbeat Animated Short Film

Are you trying to find the next best place to watch an LGBT+ flick?

Although streamers are truly upping the ante at the moment when it comes to selections, it’s a rarity to hear that one streaming service will be uploading 60 titles all at once.

Yep, you read correctly. Thanks to Outfest – the leading showcase for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) film and video in Los Angeles – Amazon Prime will be adding 60 pieces of entertainment, old and new, to its catalogue in the US.

“These are challenging times for many and reports of violence against LGBTQ citizens are on the rise,” said Christopher Racster, executive director of Outfest, to Variety.

“I still believe, though, in the power of our stories to change that narrative… It is a relationship like this with Prime Video Direct that will carry our stories across the widest network and reach the most individuals,” he added.

Six more of Outfest’s official-selection features will begin streaming on Amazon Prime in the US over the next few weeks, reports The Advocate.
