This actor is nailing Love Island 2018 impressions
An actor’s video has gone viral after he started performing impressions of the Love Island contestants.
Geraint Rhys Edwards has more than a million views on his Facebook video, where he jokes about Alex’s failed relationships and mimics Eyal’s southern accent and says “I’m just looking for someone who gets me on a deeper level.”
The impressionist also pokes fun of Scottish contestant Laura Anderson, who hit out after her partner Wes labelled her as ignorant on Monday’s show.
Edwards also takes aim at Adam’s flirtatious tendencies and Dani Dyer’s excitability.
Both lovers and haters of the show have appreciated the impressions. PheB (handle @phubba) wrote on Twitter “Crying mate his eyal impression is text book [sic]”, while James Robinson (handle @James_HS) wrote: “I’ve never watched Love Island so this video could be absolutely awful and I wouldn’t know, but you just entertained me. Genius! I’ve got accent envy.”
Edwards is a Welsh actor, singer and dancer. According to his Twitter profile he’s based between Cardiff and London.
Love Island has been the show on everybody’s lips this year, and it’s been breaking records with its viewing figures.
On its launch on June 4 a huge 3.4million viewers tuned in to watch Caroline Flack host on ITV2.
This made it the highest rating programme at 9pm across all channels, winning the slot with 2.9m viewers and peaking with 3.4m viewers.
