Executive of billion dollar makeup brand fires his own sister for ‘transphobic comments’ about NikkieTutorials

Jerrod Blandino of Too Faced has sacked his sister

The founder of a makeup brand has sacked his own sister for sending anti-transgender messages about YouTuber NikkieTutorials.

Jerrod Blandino of Too Faced, which Estée Lauder bought for a reported $1.45 billion in 2016, spoke out after his sister sent messages accusing the popular makeup guru of “lying” about her gender.

NikkieTutorials, real name Nikkie De Jager, came out as trans in a video on Monday, explaining that she was “born in the wrong body” and had transitioned to female in her early teens.

Blandino’s sister, who goes by the name Dani California on Instagram, wrote: “Transgender, huh? That’s not the only thing she’s been LYING about.”

After outcry at her comments, Blandino confirmed that the company had cut ties with his sister.
