It’s no secret that plenty of religious folk hate LGBT+ people, but this woman hates them so much that she wants to trademark the rainbow.
Writing for WND.com, Linda Harvey of Mission: America claimed that the “sweet rainbow image” has been “violated” and “raped” by the LGBT+ community.
Harvey – who appears to be dangerously obsessed with rainbows – lashed out at queer people for turning the rainbow into a “garish signpost for slavery to grave homosexual sin”.

“It’s clear God did not intend for the rainbow to represent rebellion, iniquity and division. So how did this precious symbol become the banner, with few objections, for human depravity, lust, defiance and heresy?” she wrote.
Harvey slammed those who publicly display the flag in support of the LGBT+ community, claiming that “sexual deviance is being colourfully and arrogantly proclaimed from America’s rooftops.”
She said she is “offended” by all the rainbow flags hanging around Columbus, Ohio during Pride month in June, saying the rainbow had become “a brand identity for perversion”.

“I feel excluded because the depraved have taken the Lord’s glorious sign of hope and corrupted it. Why shouldn’t I sue?”
She continued: “I wonder if perhaps it’s time for believers to claim the rainbow again, by legal means if we could.”
“Can we trademark the rainbow? Of course, it’s probably impossible and perhaps even inappropriate,” she wrote.
“The rainbow stands as God’s covenant with all mankind – not just those who believe in Him now, because some of these flagrant sinners will repent, which is our constant prayer.”
Harvey promised the gays that they are in for some ‘hot eternal times’, which can surely only be a good thing.
Closing out her gloriously ridiculous argument, Harvey said the current “misuse” of the rainbow needs to end.
“Rainbows should accompany what God would smile on. God is not smiling on homosexual conduct, gender defiance or the corruption of children, and He never will.
“An appropriate rainbow for the ‘LGBTQ’ sin identity front would look very different, featuring colours like brown, puce, mauve, gray and black – lots and lots of black.
“Depressing, uninspiring, empty, leading nowhere. Satan’s banner.”
Harvey teased gays with the prospect of hell, telling them that they were “in for some hot eternal times” unless they repent – which, honestly, doesn’t sound too bad.
Mission: America is designated an active anti-LGBT+ group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre, which monitors hate groups in the US. According to its website, Mission: America offers Christian commentary on “the culture”.
