Elton John announces huge Hyde Park show as part of his farewell tour – and we’re screaming

Elton John has announced a massive headline show at London’s Hyde Park – and we can’t deal with our emotions, frankly.

The legendary singer will perform at the outdoor venue as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, and there’s a way to get early access to tickets.

It’s also part of the British Summer Time festival series and will see Elton John perform on 24 June.

The tour will mark his final ever live dates as he revealed at a press conference: “My priorities have changed. We had children and I changed our lives. That doesn’t mean to say I’m not going to be creative, but I’m not going to travel.”

Fans will be able to hear some of his greatest hits including “Tiny Dancer”, “Bennie and the Jets”, “The Bitch is Back” and “Your Song” as well as new material.

This is because the pop icon recently announced his 32nd studio album, The Lockdown Sessions, and it’s stacked with LGBT+ talent.

The LP, due for release in October will feature Lil Nas X, Rina Sawayama, Years & Years, Miley Cyrus and Brandi Carlisle as well as Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj and Stevie Nicks.

The Hyde Park show is the latest edition to his final tour dates, which also includes stadium shows in Liverpool, Norwich, Sunderland, Bristol and Swansea.

Announcing the UK stadium dates the trailblazing singer said: “I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.”

“This has been an incredible tour so far, full of the most amazing highs, and I look forward to making more wonderful memories with you at these final shows.”

How to get Elton John tickets for Hyde Park

Fans can get presale tickets when they pre-order Elton’s new album from his official store before midnight on 5 September. You’ll then receive early access to tickets from 6-8 September.

You can also sign up to the British Summer Time presale here for free which starts at 10am on 8 September.

Then general sale tickets will be released at 10am on 10 September at ticketmaster.co.uk.
