New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) singer Jonathan Knight has officially tied the knot with longtime partner Harley Rodriguez.

The American boy band star confirmed that he and Rodriguez had quietly got married during an interview with ET, pointing out the ring on his finger.

Everybody just assumed we’re married, so, I never say yes or no ’cause I don’t wanna lie,” he said.

He said that although they are married, the wedding celebration is yet to happen due to the pandemic, but “it’s coming”.

The pair, who competed together on season 26 of The Amazing Race, have been in a relationship since 2008, getting engaged in 2016 and initially hoping to get married in 2021.

Speaking to People last year, Knight said: “We were going to get married on the farm this year under a tent and then have the ceremony in our barn.

“We had everything lined up: the caterers, the entertainment. We were going to get married under candlelight. And then that all just stopped.”

Knight admitted they had even considered eloping after waiting for so long, but it seems they have found the perfect balance between finally getting hitched and preparing a celebration with friends and family.

The singer has not been secretive about it either, in a post on Instagram from two months ago he mentioned missing his husband who was in Paris. And both have changed their surnames to Knight-Rodriguez on social media.

Rodriguez posted the sweetest photo of the two of them for Valentine’s Day, captioned: “Every day is Valentine’s Day having you in my life and by my side. Love you Jonathan Knight”

Knight has been touring with NKOTB since 1984 (with a 14 year hiatus between ’94 and ’08) and has recently joined hit HGTV show Farmhouse Fixer.

The singer, who has always had a passion for fixing up homes, said: “I would post on Instagram pictures of projects I did, and fans would always ask me, ‘what is your other job besides the New Kids?’ and I just think it’s so great to be able to showcase what I do, and people can watch.”
