Musician Becky Hill has revealed that she once went to an all-girls sex party in order to explore her sexuality.

Hill, who performed at the Women’s Euros final in August, spoke on Shopping with Keith Lemon about her sexuality, reclaiming the label “queer”, and that she had previously questioned her sexuality following a brief split from her fiancé Charlie Gardner.

She added that she went to a female sex party in order to figure out if she was a lesbian or bisexual.

“When we went through a breakup, I ended up going to an all-girls sex party because I wanted to find out… I came out still not knowing,” she said on the show on Thursday (20 October).

“I was like, ‘Did I like that? Did I enjoy that?'”

Hill, 28, added that she now defines herself as queer, and that the LGBTQ+ community “has reclaimed” the word after Lemon questioned whether it was still a slur.

“It doesn’t mean gay, it doesn’t mean bi. It kind of means you’re undefined,” she said.

“My first female experience was when I was 17. I remember my mum saying to me when I was 14, ‘Becky, every woman fancies other women.’

“At that point, I was like, ‘Oh my God yeah, I suppose I do fancy other women…’ but I don’t know to what degree I do.”

She added that since defining herself as queer she has become empowered in her performances and has enjoyed performing with drag artists.

“Ever since I said I think I’m queer I’ve found my sexual empowerment in terms of being on stage,” Becky Hill said.

“I’ve dancers with me who are drag queens and drag queens. It feels like a diverse party.”

The singer, who rose to fame after appearing on The Voice UK, came out as queer in 2021, saying that she is “uncomfortable branding myself as straight”.

“OK here it goes… I’m not 100 per cent on this (still figuring myself out) but I *think* I’m queer!” She tweeted.

“I’ve definitely felt uncomfortable branding myself as straight, or anything else for that matter, but queer seems to be the most fitting identity for who I am.”
