Sarah Paulson is getting her own star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame and like pretty much everyone on social media is saying, it’s about damn time!
The American Horror Story actress, 50, will be honoured in a ceremony on Tuesday 2 December, becoming the 2,829th star on the legendary Los Angeles walk.
A star of stage and screen, Paulson is being recognised in the television category. The other categories are motion pictures, recording, radio, live performances and sports entertainment.
During the ceremony, hosted by journalist Dayna Devon, Paulson’s long-term partner, Holland Taylor, as well as actress, Amanda Peet, will pay tribute to the Down with Love star.
In a statement, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who determine who gets a star, said it’s “proud and excited” to grant Paulson the honour.
Ana Martinez, the Walk of Fame producer said, “Sarah’s remarkable career and artistry have left an indelible mark on both television and film. It’s especially meaningful that her star is located right next to that of her friend and longtime collaborator, Ryan Murphy.
Reactions on social media all essentially said the same thing, with one person tweeting: ‘Took them long enough but finally’, and another calling it a “long-overdue honour.”

Paulson’s credits are numerous and too many to list in full.
But among the highlights are her involvement with the American Horror Story franchise, having appeared in 10 seasons of the anthology series. She’s earned two Critics’ Choice Awards and five Emmy nominations over those seasons. Furthermore, she’s returning for season 13.
While she has been more recently seen in the panned series, All’s Fair, Paulson has had starring roles in series such as Ratched (for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (for which she earned her ninth Emmy Award nomination), The Bear, and many more.
Paulson won her first Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie category for her role Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

She also won a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Critics’ Choice Award and a Television Critics Association Award.
She’s set to star as Aileen Wournos in the fourth instalment in Netflix and Ryan Murphy’s Monster series.
Last year, Paulson won a Tony Award for her role as Toni Lafayette in the Broadway play, Appropriate. She has also starred in stage productions of The Glass Menagerie, The Cherry Orchard, Killer Joe, and Talley’s Folly.

In the world of film Paulson has had memorable roles in Ocean’s 8, Carol, and 12 Years a Slave among others.
As well as having a long lasting romantic relationship with Holland Taylor, Sarah Paulson is also a close friend of Pedro Pascal. The two are often seen together, looking cute and displaying an adorable singling energy. The pair have picked up the affectionate nicknames of ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy’.
The ceremony can be live streamed here.
