Lola Young ‘back to women’ after discovering lover has wife and kids

‘Messy’ singer Lola Young has said she is “back to women” after learning a man she was seeing had a secret wife and kids.
The 25-year-old – who addressed her sexuality in a May 2025 TikTok comment – revealed she had been sleeping with a man, things were going well, and then she discovered he was hiding another life.
Speaking at London’s O2 Arena on 5 May, as Rosalia brought her out on stage, Young revealed the ordeal had put her off men.
According to The Sun, she said: “I was seeing someone for about four months, it was getting pretty serious.
“I have to confess I thought I was falling in love. He was a bit older, like an older human being. Men seem to mature a lot less quickly.
“We were seeing each other for four months and we got in bed and we do the deed, it was great.”
She went on: “His phone rings just as he’s about to finish and he jumps up and he’s like, ‘I’ll be back in two minutes.'”
Young explained his phone was connected to a Bluetooth speaker, so she heard the entire conversation.
She said: “He’s on the phone and his wife is asking him to bring back nappies for his kids.”
The Brit School alum added: “I lost the plot a bit. I was like, I can’t do this, I’m back to women.”
Young has been slowly returning to the public eye after cancelling work commitments last year, after collapsing during a performance.
