Aubrey Plaza’s partner Christopher Abbott breaks silence on ‘exciting’ baby news

Christopher Abbott has spoken about his upcoming role of being a dad with his partner, bisexual icon Aubrey Plaza.
Plaza’s pregnancy was confirmed in early April, with a source telling People the couple “feel very blessed”, adding: “It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year.”
Now, Abbott, also an actor and best known for appearing in Girls, has spoken publicly about the pregnancy.
He was appearing on the Today show, when host Jenna Bush Hager congratulated him on the baby news.
The 40-year-old thanked the presenters for their well-wishes and congratulations, adding: “It’s very exciting.”
Plaza and Abbott’s happy news came a year after the death of her husband Jeff Baena, who was found dead in his home on 3 January, 2025.
Who is Christopher Abbott?
Aubrey Plaza’s new man Christopher Abbott is an actor, best known for his work in Girls as Charlie Dattolo.
He has also appeared in countless movies, including Poor Things and Kraven the Hunter.
Abbott also made his Broadway debut in 2011 with The House of Blue Leaves and this year has starred in the 2026 Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
He and Plaza have starred alongside each other in Off-Broadway show Danny and the Deep Blue Sea in 2023, and in the 2020 film Black Bear.
