Bisexual icon Aubrey Plaza gives birth to first baby with partner Christopher Abbott

Aubrey Plaza has given birth to her first child with partner Christopher Abbott and was photographed in New York carrying the newborn baby after attending Abbott’s closing performance in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
According to TMZ, the bisexual actress welcomed her new baby in the last week of July.
Plaza, 42, was seen out in Manhattan on Sunday, holding the baby close as she left the theatre area after the show. Abbott, 40, played Biff Loman in the revival and received his first Tony Award nomination for the role.

The sighting came after Plaza went to support Abbott at his final Death of a Salesman performance at the Winter Garden Theatre. Photos show her cradling the newborn as she stepped out in New York City following the show.
Plaza confirmed she was pregnant in April during a SmartLess podcast appearance, after earlier reports. “There’s a baby inside of me right now. Yes, it’s true… I know it’s shocking isn’t it,” she said.
Abbott also confirmed the news in May, saying it was “exciting”.

Plaza broke out as April Ludgate on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and later starred in films including Ingrid Goes West and Emily the Criminal. She played Harper in The White Lotus season two and is loved for her dry, unpredictable public persona that shines in interviews, with a strong following among queer audiences as a cult-favourite performer. She and Abbott have worked together on Black Bear and the off-Broadway play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
Plaza was previously married to writer-director Jeff Baena, who died by suicide in January 2025. Earlier this year, she confirmed she was expecting her first child with Abbott after the couple kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight.
