ITV’s GMB accidentally airs very naughty word in Delta Goodrem Strictly chat

Delta Goodrem

Good Morning Britain viewers got a bit of a rude awakening on Tuesday’s episode, when ITV broadcast a naughty word during an interview with Delta Goodrem.

Fresh off a surprise guest spot at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival on 30 May, the Australian singer joined the panel for a chat about Eurovision, her new album Pure, and rumours she’s set for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

But during one split-screen shot, just before 8am, footage from Goodrem’s Mighty Hoopla performance was shown – including a fan with the word “C***” printed on it.

Viewers quickly picked it up, with one writing: “God no! It can’t be real.” Another said: “That’s not very nice to put that up when Delta is on… tut tut.”

Someone else said: “Love the sign that says ‘c***’ in the audience watching Delta. Oops, should have looked at that footage before airing it.”

While it appears ITV didn’t catch the rude word before the live broadcast, the clip has been removed from the catch-up service ITVX.

After coming in fourth place at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with power ballad ‘Eclipse’, Delta Goodrem’s name has been linked to BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking to GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, who have both done Strictly, Goodrem refused to confirm or deny she was taking part.

She said of the possibility: “As I said last year before Eurovision, I’m always open.

“I love the variety of the arts. I’d have to work really hard because I am a piano girl at the end of the day.”

Goodrem is also gearing up for the release of her eighth album Pure, for which “Eclipse” is the first song announced. The album will be released on 6 November.
